Eminem Pulls Ahead...
I had no clue that these were the top, but yo read the article!.......
"By Shaheem Reid
Marshall Mathers has an army of supporters, and thanks to them, Eminem has risen to the top of the fan voting in our Hottest MC poll. With 40 percent of the votes thus far, he's pulled ahead of Joe Budden and 50 Cent, who had been the leading vote getters in the weeks since we opened the poll. Now that those votes are being factored into this year's official list, it seems fans are aware that the stakes are higher.
A reader named Stacey is among the Em fans wearing the cyberspace rally cap and encouraging folks to get behind the Detroit rap legend. "Eminem is the hottest one in this list!!! Vote for Eminem," she wrote.
Meanwhile, a commenter called the Champ has posted a top 10 list: "1. Eminem; 2. 50 Cent; 3. Kanye West; 4. T.I.; 5. Jay-Z; 6. Fabolous; 7. Lloyd Banks; 8. Young Jeezy; 9. Drake; 10. Lil Wayne.
"Em is the undisputed Hottest MC. Relapse [is the] best album put out since [T.I.'s] Paper Trail," Champ added. "Lyrically and artistically, he is simply on another level than Jay-Z, Weezy and Kanye."But don't count out Lil Wayne. It looks like more of his fans are going to step to the plate and show support for Weezy F. Baby.
"Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive," user CaliSky wrote. "Eminem is definitely talented, but have you heard Tha Carter III? What about his new track, 'I'ma Go Getta'? And now he's doing this rock/rap blend? Lil Wayne for sure has my vote."Due to the whopping 420 percent increase in voting, we decided to delay revealing the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust's list and let you guys weigh in. We're encouraging everyone to continue to be engaged in this conversation and cast your vote for the Hottest MCs in the Game until September 21. "
IN MY OPINION.. the dude that was suckin' on Lil Waynes teet is all shit. Lil Wayne commercially has had a impact on modern day 'Hip Hop' buuuut, glorifying his shit as if it is the best and comparing it only to eminems relapse is whack. Em has produced an infantry of dope shit from Infinite, to Relapse and even further back, Soul Intent. Weezy can suck a phat. im glad hes not even close in the running to be the Hottest MC, besides the 'rock/rap blend' that the dude above spoke about is old shit, been done already mate and way better too, Run DMC boy Hova shit even Ludacris.
And with this 50cent and Joe Buddens taking 2nd and 3rd also expecting to be 1st by critics is quite interesting, i guess NZ is behind on this shit cause i havent heard any 50 stuff for the year except that one new song ,Dope vid may i add, and definately havent heard any Buddens since You Got Served. Il have to check up on this i guess. All in all this Mtv Vote doesnt really move me, i been voting but not with all my heart, haha shit i gave Em about a Vote but im trying to get Raekwon out of the 1% status. also aticipating the Only Built For Cuban Linx II. Another thought im suprised Jay Z aint nowhere too, hes on the Mighty 1%, guess millions are voting em..
take your vote here>>> Wu Tang For World Domination.
You can vote everyday. scratch that, You can Vote Everytime you exit and open the page wtf?! anyway hit the Raekwon bro, try atleast get 2-3%. sweeet!
PS. click on the words that are highlighted, theyll take you to some more goodie treats, took me a while to make this post so do it! its a good 30min of entertainment all up.

Had to share this movie.. soo dope!!!!!!!!
If you havent seen this movie it is a must, an essential, like knowing the words to juicy. District 9 is the dopest movie this year possibly. Presented by Peter Jackson and Directed By Neil Blomkamp who im pretty sure is south african, seeing as the name and the film is set in south africa.
Anyway... Its about aliens that have landed in Joberg, South Africa. The Aliens are stranded and put in refugee camps and all this other stuff happens inbetween i dont wanna spoil it..
a funny thing to think about though is these aliens. I think they represent the black people back in the apartheid days with the segregation laws and what not, rekon the director just used that as a base plot outline and turned it into a dope ass movie!
GO WATCH IT OR ELSE
Make Her Say Oh. Oh Oh Ooh
This should be a song for the boys haha.
Not gonna lie, this track is dope. one of the only songs that Ive heard on radio rotation worth listening too in many a years. say what u like but this track is good stuff, top notch. quite a funny song too considering the topic.
I never really thought much of kid cudi, i thought he'd be one of those commercial hypes (always had that crookers remix going in clubs for the last year and a bit, got my head spinning in a bad way seein as u pick up all they lyrics and everything after a night out in town cause it was played so much.) but seems hes not people! Now im not one to listen to much commercial stuff these days because 85%+ is complete whack shit but kid cudi {right now} seems legit in my books, might have to check out his album ay!
ps. Kanye still making some beats rather than 808ing everything out. nice.

Baatin of Slum Village Dead at 35
Titus Glover, who rapped under the name Baatin in Slum Village, was found dead Saturday morning in Detroit. The cause of death has not been released at this time. Baatin had recently rejoined the group after a long hiatus where he dealt with a drug problem and diagnosed schizophrenia. In a statement given to the Detroit Free Press, Slum Village member T3 characterized Glover as "dear friend and brother" who had "touched many lives." Baatin's final work will be featured on Slum Village's Villa Manifesto, which be released on September 22 from Barak Records.
R.I.P playa status.

Warning
Eminem dropped a new diss song directed at former girlfriend Mariah Carey, and her husband of a year Nick Cannon called "The Warning"[The Warning Lyrics], he takes shot after shot at the singer, from spilling details on sex acts the two had while dating and compromising pictures he has of the singer, and makes it clear this is a "Warning Shot". Other allegations include her being mentally unstable, and telling Nick he got played by Mariah.
Taking even more shots at Nick Cannon, Em tells him to get his wife to stop taking shots at him, in reference to Mariah portraying him in her music video for her single "Obsessed", or he will keep going at them and claims to have "enough dirt on you to murder you".
He also calls Cannon a faggot and mocks the Mariah Carey tattoo on his back. He returned to previous allegation he has made as well when referencing phone calls Mariah made to him in the past. The only nice thing he has to say in the song, is when he thanked Dr. Dre for a "sick track".

Re: The Dopeness
Whos world is this?! the world is yours!
So watched the movie "The Wackness", and i must say was a pretty good film. First few minutes were dope as they really capture me with a blend of Nas bumping and the whole New York feel to the scene. Dope, i cant be bothered writing too much on it so il just copy paste the synopsis for yall..
It’s the summer of 1994, and the streets of New York are pulsing with hip hop and wafting with the sweet aroma of marijuana. The newly-inaugurated mayor, Rudolph Giuliani, is only beginning to... It’s the summer of 1994, and the streets of New York are pulsing with hip hop and wafting with the sweet aroma of marijuana. The newly-inaugurated mayor, Rudolph Giuliani, is only beginning to implement his anti-fun initiatives against “crimes” like noisy portable radio, graffiti and public drunkenness.
Two people, however, are missing out on the excitement: Luke (Josh Peck) is a socially uncomfortable teenage pot dealer with no friends, issues with his parents, and a colossal lack of confidence with girls. He trades weed for sessions with his therapist, Dr. Squires (Sir Ben Kingsley), whose much-younger wife (Famke Janssen) is slipping away from him. Squires, a drug-addled shrink with a hairline retreating to the back of his neck and a state of mind slouching back to adolescence, is an unlikely role model—but the two of them forge a friendship based on a mutual need: getting laid.
The intergenerational duo set off on a crawl that takes them all over New York, where they encounter several of Luke's "business associates,” including a Phish-following dreadlocked pixie (Mary Kate Olsen), a New Wave, keyboard-playing one-hit-wonder (Jane Adams), and Luke’s supplier (Method Man).
Luke has long had an aching crush on Dr. Squires' way-out-of-his league stepdaughter, Stephanie (Olivia Thirlby from Juno), and is stunned at his good luck when she returns his affections. Luke’s innocent first love experience with Stephanie becomes a life lesson that sets him on the pathway towards adulthood. And when Squires breaks down, it is up to the younger man to throw the older one a lifeline.
Propelled by an exuberant hip hop score, The Wackness captures the spell of 1994--a time of pagers, not cell phones; a time when Tupac and Biggie were alive but Kurt Cobain had just died. Funny and moving, The Wackness is an offbeat tale of two lost souls stumbling towards maturity.

been a while?!
well i got a treat here. I was born and semi raised in South Africa and at the young age i distictively remember watching music vids the on tele but half the time the black dudes that played music were never actually hip hop artist, but a genre known as Kwaito. Now i wasnt a fan of this style, it was more of happy kinda music expressed in a different language! enough said about that, last night i thought id do some research on hip hop artist hailing from S.A (south africa not south auckland) and i found nothing less of a amputee. haha what i mean is i found a full bodied hip hop society and to show u what i mean heres a taste of two artist that have been on rotation since lastnight....
first cat is 'Proverb' his works are great, reminds me a bit of like a cannibus style.
second cat is 'Optical Illusion' mean beat with a sick bassline and video.
